It seems that after doing a tour of duty in Iraq, and coming home just in time to unseat 28-year incumbent Republican douchebag Tom Gannon in the 2006 elections, our State Rep. Bryan Lentz has decided to hop on the Obama train. Lentz claims that an Obama candidacy would yield better coattails for leg. candidates [...]

A shocker here in Pennsylvania:
Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey plans to endorse Sen. Barack Obama for president today in Pittsburgh, sending a message both to the state’s primary voters and to undecided superdelegates who might decide the close race for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Dan Pfeiffer, deputy communications director for the Obama campaign, confirmed that Casey would [...]

Joe Klein told me to picture this: Obama struggles in PA, NC, IN, such that his popular vote lead shrinks significantly, such that it’s a dead heat, or Clinton even leads. It’s pretty clear that Obama’s pledged delegate lead is impervious, but big losses in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and hypothetical Florida will give pledged delegates pause. [...]

While the media frets over what Barack Obama ate for breakfast and what time Hillary Clinton went to bed, events that will change the face of the planet forever continue unabated. This is not hyperbole. This is the “runaway collapse” of a chunk of the Wilkins Ice Shelf in Antarctica seven times the size of [...]

I think it is the most striking sign of a bad president that even when they’re right, they’re wrong. I was absolutely shocked at how moderate and nuanced (well almost) President Bush’s immigration policy was, but even more shocked (well not really) at how Republican reacted with such vitriol! Finally, Bush had pushed for legislation [...]

Barack Obama wrote a letter to Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson over one year ago, predicting and calling on the men to avert the economic disaster through which we are currently suffering.
Dear Chairman Bernanke and Secretary Paulson,
There is grave concern in low-income communities about a potential coming wave of foreclosures. Because regulators are [...]

Hillary gave a great speech today that brought up some very important issues and presented some fantastic solutions. Hillary’s Housing Policy Speech at UPenn I’m also excited about it because I was in the fourth row.

This article from the Washington Post was a little depressing to me. It seems like race really is a dividing factor among Democrats, reflected by one man who “still can’t quite get comfortable with Obama” because of Obama’s stance on race, and may, for the first time in his life, vote Republican rather than voting for [...]

This is a wonderful piece with some interesting facts, and articles cited. I have often wondered about Obama’s supposed hope, and unity-his “new brand of politics”-and how it meshes with his campaign’s divisive personal attacks. This article also brings up an interesting point about support. If the the electoral college delegates from each state were [...]
